Job Responsibilities
Mechanical Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on trucks, trailers, small engines and heavy equipment
Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and scheduled equipment inspections, reporting deficiencies immediately
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform or coordinate necessary repairs
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for all equipment worked on
Shop & Site Support
Maintain a clean and organized shop, tools, and work setting
Support fuelling, greasing, and general upkeep of equipment and vehicles
Work collaboratively with the Industrial Service Manager and Rental Equipment Manager on equipment readiness
Safety & Compliance Responsibilities
Following all Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) standards, company secure work procedures, hazard assessments, and emergency protocols
Ensuring compliance through all required safety certifications
Wearing required PPE at all times in the shop/yard and on sites
Utilizing spotters when reversing or maneuvering equipment in confined areas
Refraining from operating equipment under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or while fatigued
Immediately reporting mechanical issues, damage, near misses, or incidents
Maintaining clean, organized, and secure vehicles, equipment, and shop areas
Accurately completing all required logs, inspection forms, and documentation
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week

Experience:
Mechanical troubleshooting: 1 year (required)
Language:
Spanish would be an asset (preferred)
English (required)
Licence/Certification:
journeyman certification (required)
