Role Description The System Installer is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Winnipeg Metropolitan Area. This role involves installing, configuring, and testing security systems, surveillance equipment, access control solutions, and audio-video setups in commercial and residential environments. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, running and terminating cables, performing electrical wiring within scope, mounting and connecting devices, and ensuring systems are fully operational and user-ready.

The System

Installer will interact with clients on-site, provide basic user training, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the project team to meet timelines and quality standards. The role also requires maintaining accurate installation documentation, adhering to safety protocols,



and caring for tools, vehicles, and equipment.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and support clients during and after installations.
- Experience providing training to end users or team members on system operation, basic troubleshooting, and safe usage.
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, cable management, and safe use of tools and equipment in technical installation environments.
- Project management capabilities, including planning tasks, organizing resources, and meeting deadlines in coordination with supervisors and team members.
- Background in structured, disciplined environments (e.g., military or similar) that demonstrates reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work on-site across the Greater Winnipeg Metropolitan Area, including lifting equipment, working on ladders, and performing physical tasks.
- Basic understanding of security, surveillance, access control, or audio-video systems is an asset; willingness to learn and follow technical standards is required.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; eligibility to work in Canada.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or courses in electronics, networking, or security systems are an advantage.
