About the Role As an Inventory Control Associate, you’ll be the person who keeps our inventory accurate, our pricing up to date, and our stock data trustworthy. You’ll investigate discrepancies, execute cycle counts, manage price changes, and identify opportunities to improve how we track and manage products across the store.
This is a cross-functional role – you’ll work closely with the supply chain team, yard crew, department leads, and the store manager to communicate findings, resolve variances, and drive inventory accuracy initiatives. It suits someone who is self-directed, curious, and comfortable working with data and systems.
What You’ll Be Doing Executing product cycle counts according to the cycle count schedule and entering all adjustments and inventory-related data accurately into our systems
Investigating product variances, negative on-hand quantities, negative margin discrepancies,



and SKU selling issues – and communicating findings to the relevant teams
Performing inventory hole counts on the retail floor and making recommendations to address gaps
Identifying areas for improvement in inventory accuracy and working with department leads and management to implement solutions
Collaborating cross-functionally with the supply chain team, yard crew, department leads, and the store manager to resolve inventory issues and support store-wide initiatives
Always working in compliance with WorkSafeBC Standards
What We’re Looking For Here’s what will set you up for success in this role:
Analytical and curious by nature – you enjoy investigating discrepancies and digging into data until you find the root cause
Highly organized and task-oriented with superior time management skills and the ability to manage your own workload without close supervision
Strong attention to detail – accuracy in data entry, cycle counts, and pricing is critical in this role
Proficiency with computers and programs including Outlook, Excel, and Eagle Software (or similar inventory management systems)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you work cross-functionally and need to communicate findings clearly to a range of colleagues
Mature, responsible, and proactive – you identify problems and follow through on solutions
Previous experience in inventory control is a robust asset
Knowledge of the building industry or retail environment is an asset
