Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Labourer/Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves operating various types of warehouse equipment, assisting with order picking and inventory management, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with forklift operation, mechanical knowledge, and a strong work ethic to ensure efficient and protected handling of goods within a fast-paced distribution workplace. Afternoon Shift.

Duties
Operate forklift, and order picker to move, load, and unload materials efficiently
Assist with order picking and ensure accuracy in inventory handling
Unload and load trailers in priority sequence
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to support warehouse operations
Conduct basic maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on equipment when needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Support warehouse distribution activities by preparing shipments using a computer and organizing stock
Use basic math skills for counting, and verifying orders during processing




Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company policies

Experience
Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is preferred
Proficiency in operating forklift, and order picker is highly desirable and required
Mechanical knowledge or background is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory management
Previous experience working in rapid-paced warehouse environments will be advantageous

This position requires physical stamina, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Candidates should be prepared to handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining a focus on accuracy and safety standards. Pay: From $20.00 per hour
