Elkhorn Esso is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Gas Station Cashier / Customer Service Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, operate the cash register/POS system, maintain a clean store, and assist with day-to-day gas station and convenience store operations.
Job Responsibilities
Greet customers and provide friendly and professional customer service
Operate the cash register and POS system accurately
Process cash, debit and credit card transactions
Sell fuel, convenience store products and lottery products
Maintain accurate cash handling and follow store cash procedures
Assist customers with questions about products and services
Keep the cashier area, shelves and store clean and organized
Restock shelves, coolers and other store products
Check product displays and maintain proper pricing and signage
Clean and maintain the customer areas, including washrooms when required
Monitor the store and report any safety, maintenance or security concerns
Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures
Assist with opening and closing duties
Perform other general duties as required
Qualifications
Previous cashier, retail or customer service experience is an asset
Solid customer service and communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic math and cash-handling skills
Comfortable using a POS system
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting/restocking
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Schedule Adaptable availability is an asset, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
