Kunafas is a Middle Eastern sweets and dessert restaurant looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Grill Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a rapid-paced restaurant environment and takes pride in preparing high-quality food while maintaining excellent cleanliness and food-safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operate and manage the grill station during service
Prepare and cook menu items according to Kunafas recipes and standards
Ensure all food is cooked properly and presented consistently
Prepare ingredients and maintain adequate stock at the grill station
Keep the grill, cooking equipment, counters, and surrounding areas clean and organized
Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Monitor food quality and freshness throughout the shift
Communicate with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures for the grill station
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
Previous grill or kitchen experience preferred
Experience in a Middle Eastern restaurant is an asset
Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced setting
Able to work efficiently under pressure
Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Food Handler Certificate is an asset
Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
