Mytec Industry Ltd is seeking an experienced Hydrovac Truck Operator. Mytec is a COR certified utility construction company working in Manitoba. This position works with a multidisciplinary team and with other trades and services, primarily outdoors on Manitoba’s streetlight electrical grid. The position reports to a project supervisor and to the company owner.
Hours – Monday to Friday full time with overtime available
Pay - $28-$36/ hour
Job Duties:
Operates the Hydro Vac Truck
Receives daily job assignments from the Planner/Operator
Completes daily log book/job plan
Communicates well with the Operators onsite to perform hydrovac duties
Ensures the hydrovac truck is properly loaded/unloaded for the day
Ensures the hydrovac truck is inspected daily and required maintenance is obtained to keep the truck operating at optimum output
Ensure that all required proper clearances/locates are available on site before performing hydrovac duties
QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Class Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 3 or D), Driver's License (Class 1 or A) with satisfactory driver’s abstract
Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicle.
Must have training and experience in operating a hydrovac truck
Positive physical condition
Willing and able to do manual labour including lifting 50 lbs
Willing to take instructions from a variety of personnel and work on a team
Willing and able to take Mytec and COR required safety training
Must have safety certified work boots
Flexibility to work out of town and overtime preferred
