Seize this opportunity to embody our organizational values within our Parliamentary Food Services branch. As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Manager, Food Services, you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Servers, Cooks, POS Operators, and food services professionals.
This is a backfill vacancy.
Th e standard hours of work are 36.25 hours per week . The successful candidate will be required to work on weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
WhatYou’llDo
You’llact with integrityto:
Provide unique event experiences, all delivered with exceptional service and attention to detail.
Ensure all catering events meet the customer’s expectations.
You’ll support our collaboration as you:
Prepare catering events by performing set-ups and serving as well as taking part in the take-down and clean-up post event.
Ensure service delivery is at the highest level and provide feedback to the Catering Coordinator at the end of each event/service delivery.
Assist with planning and executing catering events from start to finish.
How You Qualify
You demonstrate excellence through your:
Quality control on all event requirements.
Adherence to and maintenance of catering service standards.
Attention to detail with timely daily delivery to events and replenishing when required.
Familiarity with the requirements for each event service station.
Adherence to all required health and safety regulations and procedures.
Well-organized and exceptional time management skills, and capable of multi-tasking and problem-solving.
Completion of Food Safe Level 1 sanitation program for food handlers.
Secondary school graduation certificate and 3 - 6 months' experience in the hospitality field or similar role.
Food Protected and Smart Serve certifications (assets).
Communication effectiveness both verbally and in writing.
Ability to clearly follow directions and produce desired results , function in a high-paced environment, handle multiple tasks with speed and accuracy , effectively use a computer and all related software, including POS equipment, and work independently and manage multiple priorities on the go.
