PREGNANCY TO POSTNATAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Programs Temp Ottawa, ON Hybrid $25 CAD per hour

Position Type: Part time, contract - 4 hours weekly
Salary: $25.00/hour
Job Area: West Ottawa (Nepean)

SCOPE OF POSITION
The Pregnancy to Postnatal Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, promoting, facilitating, and supporting the delivery of Pregnancy to Postnatal program for parents of children age 0-1 years and expecting parents. The program may include in-person sessions at various community locations and virtual sessions.

The successful candidate will work within the Nepean, Rideau & Osgoode Community Resource Centre’s model of Community Development to engage and support families, including newcomers and vulnerable populations.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and facilitate Pregnancy to Postnatal sessions to provide nutritional education to expecting and new parents

Prepare the program space, including setting up materials and refreshments

Support registration and maintain accurate records of participant attendance and program activities

Create a welcoming, inclusive, and protected environment for community members

Provide information, support, and referrals to families as needed

Conduct outreach and build relationships with community partners

Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and program planning

Clean up and organize the program space after each session

COMMON RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of work

Foster collaboration and teamwork within a diverse, interdisciplinary environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Dietician (RD), childbirth educator or equivalent related qualifications

College diploma or degree in a related field

Minimum of 2 year of experience working with families, parents and expecting parents

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience working with diverse communities, including newcomers and vulnerable populations

Experience in community-based programming and outreach

Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry systems (e.g., OCCMS)

Certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain

A Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required

Fluency in English is required, proficiency in French or other languages an asset
