This full-time role involves operating excavators for precise trenching, backfilling, and utility installation around live utilities. Your strong focus on safety and ability to work with live systems will support our team's initiatives. Collaborate with pipe layers and other staff to ensure projects are executed well.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate excavators for utility installation and grading
• Expose underground utilities safely and effectively
• Maintain trench safety compliance on job sites
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform maintenance
• Follow grade stakes and project specs accurately
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years excavator experience in civil construction
• Experience with live utility work is essential
• Robust familiarity with excavation safety practices
• Valid driver's license is a must
• Required ground disturbance certification
