Located at the Fall River YMCA Early Learning Child Care Centre, this position combines culinary responsibility and educational support. As the Centre Cook, you will prepare balanced meals following Nova Scotia’s Food and Nutrition Guidelines while ensuring food safety and cleanliness. Additionally, you will engage with children, support routines, and contribute to their learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for children daily
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies as required




• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
• Monitor food inventory and communicate needs
• Support classroom activities and children’s routines

Requirements:
• Valid Food Handler Certification
• 1-2 years in Food Service Industry
• ECE certification or willingness to obtain
• Explicit background checks and First Aid training
• Passion for child care and nutrition
