Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. is a growing company and is currently seeking an experienced sheet metal installer to work in our Retrofit department. This position offers a wide variety of work including retrofit installs of furnaces, A/C, and geothermal, as well as complete installs in new high-end custom homes. Our head office is located in Grande Pointe, but our jobsites are located within Winnipeg.

Responsibilities
Fabrication and installation of residential and light commercial ductwork
Installation of in-floor (hydronic) heating piping
New and retrofit geothermal installations
Install HVAC equipment in custom homes and light commercial spaces
Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and site supervisors
Work independently or as part of a team
Maintain clean, organized job sites and high workmanship standards
Qualifications
At minimum a Level 2 sheet metal apprentice or higher
Strong skillset in laying out complex ducting systems
Possess a valid and current driver’s license
Must have reliable daily transportation to job sites within Winnipeg
Skilled communication and customer interaction skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Self-motivated, goal-oriented,
and reliable
Takes pride in quality craftsmanship
