As a Surgical Assistant, you’ll be integral to a supportive team at LASIK MD, a recognized leader in ophthalmology. This part time role (25-28 hours/week) involves preparing surgical rooms and reassuring patients while you assist surgeons during procedures. Your exceptional communication and organizational skills will be pivotal in creating a smooth operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare surgical tools and the operating room effectively
• Support and comfort patients before procedures
• Coordinate actions and team support during interventions
• Maintain precision and attention to detail
• Identify and report potential safety risks to management
Requirements:
• Solid communication skills in English
• Interest in health and patient support
• Relevant experience in healthcare is preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and EMR systems is a plus
• Flexible availability for specified hours
