Job Summary CSA Group has an chance for a Co-op Student, Membership and Services, reporting to the Manager, Operational Excellence. In this role, you will primarily support projects related to process improvement opportunities and change management initiatives. You will engage with staff and CSA members, assisting in the overall standards development processes, analyzing critical data, facilitating meetings, and learning different standard operations. You will also provide support to other Membership functions, including member programs, committee services, and standards events. The target start date for this role is September 2026 for a term of 12 months.
Responsibility As Co-op Student, the successful candidate will assist with operational activities within the membership team.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting analysis on systems and process data to support standards operations
Assisting in process improvement and change management initiatives, including reviewing and assessing data, updating documents,
facilitating internal meetings, and supporting staff training
Assisting as needed with other standards project and program activities, including conducting research and problem-solving issues.
Support member programs, services and events with other administrative tasks associated with member meetings, committee weeks, or standards conferences.
Interfaces/coordinates activities with broader membership and standards development teams.
Education and Experience Completion of second year or higher in an undergraduate program.
Knowledge of process improvement, change management, and project management would be an asset.
Working knowledge of standards development and business processes is an asset.
Experience working with volunteers and/or multi-stakeholder groups would be an asset.
Skills Excellent people skills: managing relationships, facilitating and networking with people at all levels with divergent interests and backgrounds.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills.
Detail and process orientation.
High degree of self-motivation, initiative, resilience, and adaptability.
Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
Strong computer skills (word processing, presentation software, project planning software, spreadsheets, etc.).
Candidates with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.
The typical hiring range for this position is $24.60-$31.48 CAD per hour.
