Job Overview The candidate will assist in the removal of docks, boat lifts and marine railways both at the marina and at customer’s residences. Work with hand and power tools for minor assembly. Assist in getting boats ready for winter storage.
Assist mechanic when required for winterizing of boats and motors. Assist in shrink wrapping of boats for storage. Cleaning and grounds maintenance which involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, some painting.
Should have a passion for outdoor work, possess some mechanical knowledge, and be skilled in using various tools and equipment to keep grounds in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
Assist in the removal of docks , lifts and marine railways at season end
Perform these removals following direction and safety measures
Use hand tools and power tools for assembly and removal
Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming and flower bed maintenance
Use both mowers, trimmers hand tools and power tools for gardening, pruning, and general grounds upkeep
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be in good physical condition to be able to move and lift docks, boat lifts and marine railway systems. Must be able to lift 45 kg. (100 lbs.)
Must have own safety shoes
Some experience with grounds keeping preferred
Mechanical knowledge related lawn maintenance equipment
Some proficiency in operating hand tools and power tools
Solid attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
Prior work experience is a plus
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
Must possess good work habits; punctuality, dependability, good interpersonal skills, reliability, be a team player and possess positive values and ethics
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
