Duties
Milking procedures, ensuring cows are comfortable and milked efficiently using farm machinery
Perform routine animal care tasks, including feeding, bedding and monitoring cattle health
Conduct some inspections of farm equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance or reporting issues promptly
Handle heavy lifting of feed bags, supplies, and equipment safely and effectively throughout the shift
Maintain cleanliness of barns, milking stations,
and surrounding areas to promote animal health and hygiene
Follow safety protocols during all activities to prevent injuries and ensure a secure working environment
Skills
Physical stamina for long hours of outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Robust attention to detail when caring for animals and maintaining equipment records
Positive communication skills for teamwork and following instructions accurately
Willingness to learn about dairy farming practices and animal husbandry techniques
