Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load, unload, and organize freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment with precision and care
Inspect vehicles regularly for mechanical issues; perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure optimal performance
Maintain accurate delivery logs, inventory records, and shipping documentation to support productive warehouse management
Assist in warehouse organization by stocking shelves, sorting freight, and preparing shipments for dispatch
Conduct safety checks on equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery before use
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly
Skills
Proven experience operating forklifts, freight handling equipment, or heavy machinery in a warehouse setting
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues during deliveries or maintenance checks
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in physically demanding environments
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and documentation
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring customer satisfaction
Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to all transportation regulations
Handyman skills are an asset.
