Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen utensils, cookware, dishes, and workstations through thorough washing and sanitizing procedures
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items to support chefs and cooks
Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to meet safety standards and prevent contamination
Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing dishwashing duties and prep tasks
Follow health and safety guidelines consistently to uphold a protected working environment for all staff
Keep the kitchen organized by managing supply inventories and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Contribute to a positive team workplace by communicating effectively with staff members and adhering to restaurant protocols
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking basics, or hotel food service experience is a plus
