- Serve as the mechanical discipline lead on major projects
- Act as a technical reference for the engineering of mining concentrators and industrial facilities
- Act as the procurement package lead for mechanical equipment
- Participate in pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed engineering studies
- Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical details
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of technical specifications for the procurement and installation of equipment
- Oversee design calculations, particularly for pumps, water/air networks, and piping stresses
- Supervise the design of tanks, hoppers, chutes, and pump boxes
- Validate P&IDs; and perform technical bid evaluations
- Supervise shop drawing reviews and the work of technicians and engineers
- Review and approve design calculations and cost estimates
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination
- Report to the Industrial Mechanical Team Leader

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the mining (concentrator), heavy industrial, or bulk solids handling sectors is a major asset
- Experience as a discipline lead engineer is an asset
- Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written




- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and contractors
- Knowledge of Pipe-Flo, Sidewinder, and Caesar II software is an asset
- English proficiency is required, as clients and suppliers are primarily English-speaking and located outside Quebec
