Join Peel Region as a Waste Management Labourer on a part-time basis, offering crucial support at Community Recycling Centers in Mississauga. Engage with residents, manage vehicle traffic, and uphold site cleanliness daily.

This role is a short-term contract providing essential front-line service within the waste management sector. You will guide residents in proper waste disposal, assist the Sub-Foreperson, and ensure smooth operations at the front lines. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and site cleanliness while providing stellar customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities:



• Direct vehicles and customers for protected waste disposal • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of sites • Load and unload trucks efficiently • Conduct winter maintenance duties as needed • Provide effective customer service at CRCs

Requirements: • Grade 12 education with 6 months of relevant experience • Ability to operate various manual and power equipment • Valid Class “G” driver’s license • Strong verbal and written communications • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work outdoors
