In October 2024, PAL Aerospace, together with Air Borealis and Medavie Health NL, was selected to design, manage, and operate integrated ambulance services for Newfoundland & Labrador. With over 50 years of special missions expertise and a global footprint in 60+ countries, our team pairs advanced aviation technology with exceptional crew skills to serve communities across the province.
What you’ll do Command the King Air 350 on time‑critical medevac missions across Newfoundland & Labrador.
Lead flight operations with robust CRM, ensuring safety, professionalism, and patient‑first decision making.
Operate IFR in challenging maritime and northern weather environments to the highest standards.
Coordinate closely with clinical teams, dispatch, and maintenance to maintain mission readiness.
Adhere to SOPs and regulatory requirements while contributing to continuous improvement.
Maintain operational flexibility for shift changes driven by real‑time mission needs.
What you’ll bring Minimum 2,000 hours total time and 500 hours multi‑engine PIC.
Valid Transport Canada ATPL (Aeroplane) .
Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating and Category 1 Medical .
Meets Transport Canada English language proficiency standard.
Eligible for and able to maintain a RAIC.
Current passport; able to travel to the United States without restrictions.
High school diploma (or equivalent).
Demonstrated leadership, organization, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Flexibility to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times.
No type rating required — comprehensive company training provided.

Bases, commute & logistics Primary operating bases: St. John’s (CYYT) and Goose Bay (CYYR)
Commuting: Pilots may commute from Gander, NL or Deer Lake, NL to primary bases; PAL Aerospace covers travel and accommodations.
Schedule: Fixed 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation.
