The Opportunity
Northern Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Department team at University Hospital of Northern BC. This dynamic role involves providing emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, team-based care environment. The position offers the chance to work closely with physicians and emergency nurses, supported by telemedicine tools and flexible scheduling. Advanced certifications required: ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and CASTED.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and manage CTAS 1 – 5 patients.

Collaborate with physicians and emergency department nurses to deliver high-quality emergency care.

Utilize PowerChart or paper-based documentation systems.

Engage with virtual services to support emergency care delivery.

Contribute to a team-based approach to emergency medicine.

About The Hospital
The University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region, and a hub for specialized health services. It’s also a teaching hospital:

Salary Range

New Graduate NP - $149,382

1 Year Experience - $156,851

2 Years Experience - $164,320
