Café Manager – Recent Planet Bean Coffee Location (Waterloo, ON)

Planet Bean Coffee, a Guelph-based specialty coffee roaster operating since 1997, is opening a current café in Waterloo and looking for an experienced Café Manager to lead it.

Responsibilities
Hire, train, and schedule café staff
Manage inventory and ordering for coffee, food, and retail products
Oversee daily café operations, including opening/closing procedures
Maintain quality standards for espresso and brewed coffee
Handle cash management, POS operations, and basic reporting
Create a welcoming, high-quality customer experience
Coordinate with the roastery and ownership on menu and promotions

Qualifications
Previous experience managing a high-end or specialty coffee shop required




Robust leadership and team management skills
Experience with inventory control and ordering
Passion for specialty coffee and customer service
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
Availability for early mornings and weekends
