Job Information
The Quality Risk Manager (QRM) provides leadership and expertise inquality improvement, patient and client safety, risk management, incident management, and accreditationacross TCSA.
This position plays a key role in identifying risks, investigating incidents, supporting system improvements, and promoting safe, culturally responsive, and client-centred care throughout the Tlicho region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investigations ofpatient safety incidents, critical incidents, unusual occurrences, complaints, and high-risk matters.
Provide expert advice to managers and staff onquality, risk, safety, and incident management.
Identify trends and risks and recommend actions to improve services and prevent recurrence.
Lead and facilitatecontinuous quality improvement (CQI)initiatives.
Support TCSA'squality, patient safety, risk management, and accreditationprograms.
Develop and deliver education and guidance on quality and patient/client safety.
Support the development and review ofpolicies, procedures, standards, and practices.
Work collaboratively with leaders, staff, clients, families, communities, and external partners to strengthen quality and safety.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor's degree inNursing or an allied health discipline, with a minimum offive (5) years of related experiencein a health or social services setting, includingtwo (2) years of experience leading a team.
Experience inquality improvement, risk management, patient/client safety, incident investigation, or a related area.
Strong analytical, investigation, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage complex, sensitive, and confidential matters with sound judgement and professionalism.
Knowledge of quality improvement, risk management, accreditation, and applicable legislation,
standards, and policies.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and promotesafe, culturally responsive, and client-centred services.
Additional Requirements
Candidates with aBachelor's degree in Nursingmust be in good standing with theCollege and Association of Nurses of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (CANNN).
Allied health professionals must holdprovisional professional licensure in a Canadian provinceand obtain full licensure within six (6) months of hire, where applicable.
Proof of immunization consistent with current public health requirements is required.
Equivalencies may include
AMaster's degreein a health or social services discipline, business, organizational management, or alaw degree, combined with a minimum ofone (1) year of related experiencein a health or social services setting,may be considered equivalentto the education and experience requirements.
Other combinations of education and experience may be consideredon a case-by-case basis.
Working Conditions
Based inBehchoko, with travel to Tlicho communities and other locations as required.
Work involves sensitive and confidential information and may include urgent or complex matters.
Investigations may involvetrauma, serious incidents, death, complaints, and potential litigation.
The position may encounter individuals experiencing significant distress or challenging behaviour.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $59.62 per hour to $71.22 per hour (approximately $116,259 - $138,879.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $5,536.
