LD&A; is looking for a Carpenter Apprentice with residential renovation experience to join our construction team.
We work on high-quality residential renovations throughout Calgary and are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong understanding of construction, and wants to continue developing their carpentry skills.
Formal apprenticeship training or carpentry schooling is an asset, but hands-on renovation experience is most key to us.
What You'll Do
General residential carpentry including framing, backing, doors, trim and finishing details
Demolition, site preparation and protection
Read and work from construction drawings and plans
Assist with cabinetry, millwork and finishing installations
Safely operate hand and power tools
Work alongside site leads, carpenters and other trades
Maintain clean, organized and professional job sites
Help troubleshoot the unique conditions that come with renovation work
What We're Looking For
Previous residential renovation experience
Carpentry or general construction experience
Registered apprenticeship or carpentry schooling is an asset
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Ability to read construction drawings
Solid attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Reliable, organized and able to work well as part of a team
Professional and respectful when working in clients' homes
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle are required — you must be able to travel between project sites throughout Calgary and surrounding areas
Experience with higher-end residential renovations and finishing carpentry is a definite asset. Work Location: In person – Calgary and surrounding area
Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
