Duties
Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and patient records efficiently
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology to ensure precise imaging
Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote lasting health perks
Maintain sterilization protocols and infection control standards to ensure a safe clinical workplace
Support orthodontic procedures by taking impressions,
fabricating retainers, and assisting with appliance adjustments
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless clinic operations and excellent patient experiences
Skills
Proven experience in dental assisting with knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
Proficiency in dental management software such as Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms for scheduling and record keeping
Familiarity with orthodontics procedures and orthodontic appliances is highly desirable
Robust communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate patient care effectively
Ability to work confidently with pediatric patients, creating a friendly atmosphere for children undergoing dental treatment
Knowledge of CAD technology for digital impressions and restorations enhances your versatility in the role
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
