KeyResponsibilities:

CoordinatecomprehensiveHRfunctions,fromfull-cyclerecruitmentandonboardingtomaintainingaccurate,confidentialemployeerecords.

SupportleadersandsupervisorsininterpretingandapplyingHRpolicies,collectiveagreements,andemploymentlegislation.

Facilitateemployeeandlabourrelations,includinggrievanceadministrationandparticipationincollectivebargainingaspartoftheteam.

Overseeworkplacehealthandsafetyprograms,ensuringcompliancewithlegislationandfosteringaproactivesafetyculture.

ServeastheliaisonforJointHealthandSafetyCommittees,coordinatingmeetings,inspections,incidentinvestigations,andtraininginitiatives.

ManageWSIBclaims,return-to-workprograms,modifiedduties,andworkplaceaccommodationprocesseseffectively.

Administeremployeecompensationandbenefits,includingpensionenrollmentandcoordinationwithexternalproviders.





Ensurethemunicipality'scompliancewithcriticallegislationsuchastheEmploymentStandardsActandtheOccupationalHealthandSafetyAct.

Requirements&Qualifications;:

Post-secondarydiplomainHumanResources,BusinessAdministration,OccupationalHealthandSafety,orarelatedfield.

Fouryearsofrelatedhumanresourcesexperience,preferablyinamunicipal,publicsector,orunionizedenvironment.

Demonstratedabilityinmanagingfull-cyclerecruitmentprocesses.

Experienceinterpretingandapplyingcollectiveagreements,HRpolicies,andemploymentlegislation.

Workingknowledgeofemployment-relatedlegislation(e.g.,EmploymentStandardsAct,OccupationalHealthandSafetyAct,HumanRightsCode).

ProficiencyinHRbestpractices,includingemployeerelations,attendancemanagement,andworkplaceaccommodation.

Strongorganizationalskillstomanagemultiplepriorities,maintainaccurateconfidentialrecords,andmeetdeadlines.

Soundjudgment,discretion,andprofessionalismwhenhandlingsensitiveemployeeandworkplacematters.

Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillsforpreparingreports,correspondence,andengagingwithdiversestakeholders.

ProficiencywithMicrosoftOffice,HRIS/payrollsystems,andrecordsmanagementsystems.

CHRP/CHRLdesignationorCRSPcertificationconsideredasignificantasset.
