Media has lost its way. Bloated plans. Lazy metrics. Decisions made by dashboards instead of people.
At Epitaph, we’re here to fix that.
We’re an independent media agency built for brands that deserve better—and we believe in Media Done Right. That means media as a craft, not a commodity. Strategy driven by context, not just data. And advertising that doesn’t just reach people, but actually moves them.
We work with some of the most ambitious brands in Canada and the U.S., across every category you can imagine. We help them grow, not just spend.
About the Role We’re looking for a Manager, Integrated Planning who’s not here to maintain the status quo. You’re a strategic thinker who knows how to turn big-picture goals into powerful, accountable media plans, and you’re not afraid to push for better.
This role is about leading, not following. You’ll translate client ambitions into channel strategies that actually work, working closely with our media directors, digital teams, and agency partners to bring smart, insight-led campaigns to life.
If you know that media is about more than tactics, and you want to shape the future of it, read on.
What You’ll Do Lead the creation of integrated media plans that connect strategy to execution with zero fluff
Turn marketing goals into clear, actionable media tactics across all channels
Present and defend smart, insight-driven recommendations with clarity and confidence
Use tools like Arima, Vividata, Tapclicks, and Commspoint, not to justify decisions, but to inform them
Challenge lazy media thinking. Identify opportunities others overlook
Own RFPs, partner negotiations, and integrated media execution from end to end
Ensure campaigns are not just live, but performing,

through constant optimization and strategic course-correction
Serve as a key contact with internal teams, external creative partners, and media vendors
Manage pacing, delivery, financials, and reporting with a high standard of precision and transparency
Work closely with finance and client service to ensure accountability on every dollar spent
Help shape smart, effective media plans for both Canadian and U.S. business within the agency
What You Bring 6+ years of media experience, with a strong foundation in integrated planning and digital strategy
Proven track record in client-facing roles, you can own a room and lead a conversation
Strong grasp of media math, business strategy, and where the two intersect
Experience using syndicated tools to build better plans (not just to fill slides)
Fluent in PowerPoint and Excel, but even better at telling stories with numbers
A healthy skepticism of industry jargon and default thinking
Experience working with cross-functional teams, creative partners, and high-growth clients
U.S. media experience is a strong asset, but curiosity, judgment, and solid planning fundamentals matter most
What You Value You care where the ad lands. And who sees it. And whether it mattered.
You believe media should be held to a higher standard, because the work deserves it, and so do the clients.
You work fast, think smart, stay curious, and don’t need permission to make something better.
You show up with ideas, not excuses.
You want to do your best work. With people who actually care.
Let’s talk. No holding company drama. No black box algorithms. Just media done right.
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000 CDN annually, commensurate with experience, with eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
