Lead an impactful initiative at the Association for New Canadians as a Diversity Shadow Project Program Manager in St. John's, NL. Focus on enhancing equitable support for newcomers through creative program management and community engagement.
In this full-time role, you'll oversee a three-year settlement project aimed at improving services for immigrants and refugees. Your responsibilities include project planning, budgeting, and engaging with community advisory committees. You will develop training tools, track project outcomes, and implement recommendations based on newcomer input to foster inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage project work plan and budget effectively
• Coordinate advisory committee for under-represented newcomer groups
• Develop and deliver staff training and resources
• Track activities and conduct evaluations for continuous improvement
• Build relationships with community organizations and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Experience in managing community equity and inclusion projects
• Strong skills in project management and reporting
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and privacy standards
You will play a critical role in shaping inclusive services and impactful community collaboration for newcomers.
