In this full-time position, you will support research initiatives by facilitating large-scale structural tests within the School of Engineering. Your expertise in experimental systems will contribute to enhanced safety, resilience, and sustainability in buildings. You will regularly collaborate with faculty, students, and research partners on various complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and install large-scale experiments using various tools
• Fabricate and modify structural testing systems and fixtures
• Coordinate the fabrication of mechanical components
• Support researchers in developing new laboratory experiments
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and setups
Requirements:
• Experience with structural testing and laboratory techniques
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Commitment to safety in a laboratory setting
• Strong problem-solving skills in experimental settings
• Ability to interpret technical documents and specifications
