Duties
Greet customers and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
Explain repair recommendations clearly, highlighting necessary services and potential upselling opportunities
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
Manage the service write-up process, including documenting customer concerns, vehicle details, and estimated costs
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently at the front desk
Promote additional services or maintenance options that benefit the customer’s vehicle longevity and safety
Experience
Prior auto service advisor experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive service processes and customer interactions
Mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge is a strong asset, enabling effective communication about repairs and diagnostics
Proven customer service skills to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients
Experience in sales or upselling techniques to recommend appropriate services confidently
Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and parts to assist in explaining repairs accurately
Cash handling experience to manage transactions securely and precisely
