We are looking for an experienced finance leader to oversee financial operations for a large organization in Hawkesbury, Ontario.

This role will guide accounting, reporting, compliance, and capital planning activities while supporting solid internal controls and informed decision-making across the organization.

The successful candidate will bring strategic insight, deep knowledge of healthcare finance, and the ability to collaborate with senior leadership, board committees, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the hospital’s core finance operations, providing direction across payables, receivables, payroll, and general accounting activities.

• Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that align with applicable Canadian regulatory and reporting standards.

• Act as the primary contact for external audit engagements, coordinating deliverables, responding to recommendations, and strengthening follow-up actions.

• Oversee cash position monitoring, banking reconciliations, and stewardship of organizational funds to support sound financial management.

• Monitor changes in Ontario hospital funding approaches, compliance expectations,



and sector best practices, and translate them into practical financial strategies.

• Drive improvements to financial systems, reporting tools, and departmental processes to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve approval workflows.

• Enhance revenue reporting by supporting the effective use and optimization of financial system modules related to revenue recognition and analysis.

• Build and maintain reporting capabilities that give senior leadership and the Board clearer insight into organizational financial performance, risks, and prospects.

• Develop long-term capital planning resources covering facilities, equipment, biomedical assets, and related service agreements, while supporting infrastructure funding applications and reporting.

• Partner with internal teams, affiliated organizations, and regional stakeholders to support financial planning, capital initiatives, procurement participation, and broader organizational development goals.
