to serve as the most senior medical leader within its pediatric health system. The CMO will be responsible for ensuring that all medical programs and services are delivered with the highest quality and standard of care, in line with the organization's vision of an equitable, anti-racist, and culturally safe health care system. This role involves supporting and overseeing a large team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and dentists, and holding executive accountability for research programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly regarded clinician with a deep commitment to patient-centered care, clinician wellness, and anti-racism, and will have a proven track record in enhancing clinical quality and patient outcomes through collaboration with various partners. Candidates for the CMO position at the company should have a strong background in pediatrics, pediatric subspecialties, child and youth mental health, or a closely related specialty. The role requires a leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across multidisciplinary teams and a broad range of specialties within the children's health workplace. Experience in managing and mentoring medical staff, particularly physicians and nurse practitioners, is essential. The successful candidate will be a practicing physician in an aligned discipline, with current registration or eligibility for registration with the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons. The CMO will be expected to foster a culture of continuous learning, promote evidence-based practices, and ensure the integration and continuity of care across the pediatric health system.
