This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.DetailsFull-time contract: 8 weeks at 35 hours/week, starting May 25th, 2026Pay: $26.00 per hourThis position is open to candidates between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of their employment through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.The PositionThe Environmental Program Coordinator will work closely with TEA’s Campaigns Team on projects to promote zero waste and a shift from single-use to reusable foodware in Toronto.This will include:Assisting our work to champion sustainability and waste reduction goals for the FIFA 2026 games, including engaging residents at FIFA and associated eventsAssisting with tracking and promoting zero waste and reuse pilot projectsSupporting policy goals to shift from single-use to reusable foodware across TorontoThe Coordinator will also have the opportunity to support on other TEA projects, including:Attending community events and festivals to promote TEA’s projects.Supporting virtual and in person meetings, workshops and community events with TEA’s partners and community collaborators as needed, e.G. note taking, logistics support.Supporting TEA projects with background research on local environmental concerns.Supporting TEA staff with environmental policy tracking, and administrative tasks including data entry and event reporting.Other duties as assignedQualificationsA commitment to TEA’s equity-focused approach to environmental issues.Demonstrated oral and written communication skillsSelf-starter, creative, out-going, self-motivated,
