Working in the Refinery Maintenance Department as part of the Instrumentation Department, this role involves maintaining instrumentation and automation systems as well as installing, testing, and commissioning new instrumentation and associated equipment.

The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership’s fuel distribution operations, which distribute over 15 billion gallons annually to approximately 11,000 Sunoco and partner-branded retail locations, as well as independent dealers and commercial customers.

Troubleshooting and maintenance of refinery Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and Programable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Installation, testing and commissioning of recent instrumentation. Current & Up to date with Active Learner Training. Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 5 Minimum). A working knowledge of JDE, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
Demonstrated behaviors that support Parkland’s Diversity and Inclusion culture. Demonstrated ability to positively interact and communicate with personnel from all divisions and levels of the company including contractors and vendors. Comfortable speaking in public forums such as team meetings, toolbox talks, start and end of shift meetings.
Experience with the following systems is an asset: Diploma of Instrumentation Technology considered an asset. Troubleshooting of refinery equipment as related to the Instrumentation trade. Maintenance and repair of process control valves and valve positioners.
Troubleshooting and maintenance of Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Programable Logic Controllers (PLC). As per the Unifor agreement, plus 14% in lieu of benefits, vacation and paid holidays.
