About The Role
Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the Journeyperson Metal Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, welding, installing, and maintaining metal and mechanical components for various projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
Key Responsibilities Include
Travel to a variety of customer sites to fabricate, fit, and install mechanical components; Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and work scopes; Welding experience (MIG, TIG, and/or stick) is considered an asset; Millwright experience, including mechanical installation, equipment maintenance, alignment, and repairs, is considered an asset; Ensure all executed work follows scope and meets quality standards; Maintain exceptional communication standards, setting clear expectations and guiding the customer experience throughout; Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures,
and regulatory requirements, including completing daily FLRAs.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an experienced Journeyperson Metal Fabricator with strong fabrication and fitting skills and a commitment to quality and safety. You are comfortable working in the field and travelling to customer sites as required. Welding experience, particularly with stainless steel and steel, is considered an asset, as is millwright experience with mechanical installation, equipment maintenance, alignment, and repairs. You bring strong customer service and communication skills, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving abilities. You’re reliable, adaptable, and committed to teamwork while representing a skilled trades company and building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
Our Must Haves
Red Seal Metal Fabrication certification
Owns personal hand tools and approved footwear
Hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and has reliable transportation
Demonstrated expertise in stainless steel and steel welding is considered an asset
