Jardeg is currently recruiting experienced Carpenter Journeypersons to join our team on the Agassiz Bridge Project ! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete formwork systems, bridge construction, and the construction of temporary work platforms and access structures.

This position is located on a long-term project inAgassiz, BCand does not have camp accommodations or living out allowance.

This is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities:

Construct, install, and dismantle concrete formwork systems for bridge and structural concrete components.

Build and maintain temporary work platforms, access systems, and staging required for bridge construction and rehabilitation activities.

Perform deck repairs, curb construction, and barrier wall repairs.

Install embedded items such as anchors, dowels, and reinforcing assemblies to engineered specifications.

Work safely at heights and over waterways implementing approved fall protection systems.

Measure, cut, andassemble wood, plywood, and formwork materials accurately.

Assist withconcrete pours, including form preparation, bracing, stripping, and finishing activities.

Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and layout information.

Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project quality standards and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Participate in toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety meetings.





Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures

Act as a work leader and mentor to apprentice carpenters

Requirements:

Preference will be given to a candidate that has a Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority

Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade

Experience with concrete formwork and construction of work platforms is required

Fall Protection Certification is a strong asset

MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) Certification is a solid asset

Experience working on civil, infrastructure, bridge, or heavy construction projects

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Reliable transportation to get to work

Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
