As a key member of the Lexus of Calgary team and reporting to the Service Manager, the Automotive Detailer will work alongside a seasoned sales team, delivery and service department, all representing a world-class leader in the automotive industry.
Lexus of Calgary is seeking our next outstanding team member to join our team as a Full Time Automotive Detailer at our location in Calgary.
Summary:
Performs automotive detailing services, installs accessories, applies protective coatings, and decals to vehicles. Ensures all services are completed to dealership and customer standards.
Major Responsibilities:
Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush or by operating washing equipment
Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body, by hand
Vacuum, shampoo, add air freshener and clean vehicle interior (some stain removal may be required)
Prepare vehicles for delivery including full interior and exterior detail
Operate automated car wash to remove surface dirt on vehicles
Vacuum all interior surfaces, spot-clean textile stains, and clean solid surfaces
Clean exterior surfaces using cleaners, mechanical buffers and polishing compounds
Maintain inventory of cleaners, compounds and tools to properly and efficiently complete assigned work
Perform minor body repair of scratches and blemishes using buffers and/or wet sanders
May be responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies
May assist with local automobile deliveries
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Inspect vehicle and report any visible defects
Apply and remove decals
Inspect and reapply vehicle protection products

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
At least one to three months related experience and/or training is preferred;
Previous experience in automotive detailing, accessory installation, or body shop work is an asset.
Previous detailing and power polishing experience required
Application of 3M and protection packages considered an asset
Proven time management skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong sense of personal responsibility and reliability
Team player with a drive to complete jobs on time
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail
Excellent command of the English language
Legally authorized to work in Canada by any employer
Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license.
This role requires the individual to work the following schedule:
Evenings 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM
