Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Director, Capital Project Design & Delivery (PD&D;) the Project Coordinator will work closely with all roles within the PD&D; team to facilitate the delivery of all aspects of project planning, construction and occupancy in a supportive role. Depending on the project complexity and scale, the Project Coordinator may be tasked with taking a lead role with senior staff support and mentorship. The position is responsible for assisting in the preparation, maintaining, and controlling of project budgets, schedules, monthly reports, and administrative tasks required of each project. This individual will assist the Project Managers leading the projects they are assigned to coordinate stakeholders, facilitate move and project phasing, and participate in project, design, and construction meetings to enable successful project delivery. In addition, the Project Coordinator will act as a representative of Shared Health (SH)



throughout the entirety of the project cycle and coordinate as required between all project parties during all phases of inception, design, construction and turnover. They will act as an integral piece of the project team to ensure that the scope, schedule, cost, and quality are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Lastly, they will form a key part of the PD&D; succession plan. These individuals will learn to manage healthcare projects within a team focused on the sector while growing their fundamental Project Management skills.

Experience

Related experience and/or experience in a healthcare setting would be considered an asset.

Previous work experience in design, project planning, and contract administration an asset.

Experience in project coordination, evaluation and report writing considered an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architectural Technology, an Engineering Discipline, Business Administration or equivalent.

Completion of, or current enrollment in, an accredited Project Management Certification program.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Must have a valid drivers’ license and vehicle.

Qualifications and Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Auto CAD 2004 or more current version is considered an asset.

Effective organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work effectively under stressful demands and with frequent interruptions.

This job in primarily an office job. However, there is a requirement to be able to travel to various sites across the province to attend meetings related to ongoing projects.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
