Position Details
Professional Learning (PL)

Lead the planning, coordination, procurement, development, facilitation and evaluation of professional learning opportunities, including workshops, conferences, podcasts, resources, webinars (live and pre-recorded), communities of practice, and other responsive learning formats

Ensure professional learning initiatives align with community needs, organizational priorities, and funder expectations

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners and community members to advance CDRCP’s Strategic Plan

Support the Manager and CDRCP leadership team in the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of professional learning programs, ensuring community voice informs decision-making

Ensure all capacity-building deliverables and reporting requirements are met in accordance with funder guidelines

Lead the team through budget planning and monitor expenditures for professional learning and capacity-building initiatives, ensuring strategic use of allocated funds and comprehensive financial documentation.

Represent CDRCP in relevant committees, partnerships, and community engagements

Provide leadership in community program visits to assess professional learning needs and build strong, collaborative relationships with program Supervisors and educators.

Establish and monitor guidelines and documentation standards for program visits

Resource Centre Lending Library

Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to staff on client service excellence, lending procedures, inventory systems, and operational protocols

Oversee workload distribution and ensure efficient team functioning

Ensure compliance with all operational, sanitation,



documentation, and safety procedures for the Resource Library

Monitor and ensure high-quality client service in membership management, payments, loans, and adherence to lending policies

Lead the ongoing development and modernization of the Resource Library collection to ensure materials are innovative, research-informed, and responsive to community needs

Review and approve new learning kits and resources to ensure alignment with evidence-based practices

Evaluate resource utilization, identify service gaps, and recommend improvements or recent initiatives

Administration and Leadership

Uphold and model adherence to all organizational policies, procedures, and professional standards

Lead staff through a continuous improvement cycle, including goal setting, coaching, feedback, and evaluation aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service targets.

Develop and improve operational systems and workflows to ensure efficiency, accountability, and achievement of organizational and funder outcomes

Monitor budgets, approve invoices, and ensure financial compliance

Co-lead monthly meetings and support the Manager in implementing policies, procedures and practices

Conduct regular individual staff meetings in accordance with CDRCP policies, fostering engagement, development and accountability

Foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture

Qualifications

Post secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Adult Education or related Progressive

Supervisory experience in related and relevant sector

Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and in good standing (when applicable)

3 years of supervisory experience in a childcare centre

In-depth knowledge and working experience of how to effectively lead a team





Strong and practical understanding of pedagogical and andragogical practicesand how to apply them in planning and delivery

Strongorganizational, project management, communication, analytical, negotiation,problem solving, publicspeaking, and time management skills

Ability to workflexible hours including evenings and weekends

AcceptableVulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check

Possession of avalid G Driver’s License, a safe driving record and access to independent Vehicle

WorkMode
In this role, you will benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work model that prioritizes meaningful in person connection. A minimum of three days onsite presence is expected, with additional in person presence as operational needs evolve.
