In this permanent full time role at IWK Health, you're part of the Intensive Outreach Service in Mental Health and Addictions. You will utilize your clinical expertise in therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, to support children and youth up to 19 years old. This position emphasizes collaboration within an interprofessional team, ensuring a culturally relevant treatment approach to mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions
• Provide evidence-based group interventions
• Engage in assessments and treatment planning
• Supervise student learners and support staff
• Participate in quality initiatives and measurement-based care
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or similar
• Minimum two years in clinical treatment for youth
• Knowledge of DSM V and CAPA methodology
• Strong interpersonal and crisis intervention skills
• Cultural competence and understanding of health determinants
