Enhance public safety as a Traffic Control Technician with Webber in Niagara. Manage incidents and coordinate emergency responses on provincial highways to protect the traveling public. This role requires a proactive Traffic Control Technician responsible for responding to highway incidents including accidents and spills.
You'll liaise with police and emergency responders, completing reports and ensuring the safety of road users. Your skills in communication, problem-solving, and safety awareness will be crucial in this challenging position. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison during highway incident management
- Communicate incidents to the Traffic Operations Centre
- Complete detailed incident reports post-event
- Coordinate detours for asset closures
- Track and maintain records on incidents Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 2 years in traffic control or highway maintenance
- Valid Class DZ driver’s license with a clean record
- OTM BOOK 7 certification needed
