Empower individuals as a Transitional Worker with Coast Mental Health in Coquitlam. Engage with residents in meaningful daily activities while providing support for community resource access. This casual role under the Cottage/Transitional Housing Program oversees residents’ active participation in daily life skills and medication administration.
You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges and promoting their integration into the community. Collaboration and communication are key aspects of this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage residents in meaningful cooking and home management
- Support clients while developing life skills
- Administer prescribed medications properly
- Connect residents with essential community services
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ mental health Requirements:
- Community Social Service diploma required
- At least two years of related experience
- Current B.C Class 5 Driver’s license
- Ability to obtain necessary safety certifications
