Provides support to all aspects of the assigned research program. The role assists the project leads with ethics applications and literature reviews, as well as the preparation of grant proposals, research presentations, posters and manuscripts for publication. Further, the role is responsible for data collection and entry, aggregation and reporting of summary statistics from large research projects and/or events. Performs various administrative and clerical functions such as coordinating research meetings and events, planning agendas, and recording meeting minutes.ResponsibilitiesAssists with completion and submission of project applications, development of data collections, and conducts preliminary literature reviews for each project, as required.Assists in the collection and recording of research data using computer spreadsheet and database applications (such as MS Excel and SPSS), gathering and checking data, developing appropriate links and formulae, summarizing information, and generating reports using word processing and presentation graphics software applications.Supports new research generation and knowledge dissemination activities through preparation of project proposals, research presentations, posters, project summaries,
and manuscripts for publication.Recruits and maintains registration databases of physician leader participation in leadership development opportunities.Obtains informed consent and records number of participants approached for the research study.Instructs study participants on required subject‑specific research procedures; reviews procedures withthe participants and provides additional information, as required.Assists in coordinating the workflow within the assigned area or project; reviews and processes information and takes follow‑up action as required.Assists in monitoring of project budgets by gathering, compiling, and calculating information; researches expenses using online reporting functions and advises on variances.Provides other administrative support functions including arranging internal/external meetings, booking rooms, notifying participants, confirming attendance, ordering catering, preparing agendas, conferences and seminars; prepares and distributes handouts and overheads; makes travel arrangements as necessary; maintains and organizesappointment calendars; records, preparesand distributes minutes and agenda; conducts or ensures follow‑up on action items as required.Performs other related duties as required.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a health-related discipline and one (1) year recent related clinical research experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.CompetenciesDemonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed.Professional/Technical CapabilitiesKnowledge of research methodology including qualitative, quantitative, and statistical methods.Knowledge of research ethics including research confidentiality and privacy.Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.Ability to review and interpret applicable reports.Ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications, including MS Excel, MS Office, MS Access and SSPS.Demonstrated experience in project coordination.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.#J-18808-Ljbffr
