Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Customer Property/Remanufacturing, the Valve Technician will be responsible for repairs of all valve equipment.
Key position functions include:
Tear down, reassemble and troubleshoot valve equipment for repair in accordance with Company standards and procedures and follow Work Order specifications
Test, grease, inspect, and stamp valves
Understand & Write travelers and work orders for estimate to repair
Trouble shoot issues that may arise with equipment
Receive equipment when required
Maintain stock
Inform Supervisor/Lead Hand of any irregularities with orders or equipment
Meet completion deadlines while producing quality work and a quality product
Afterhours availability when required
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:
High School Diploma with relevant experience with valves/chokes and oilfield industry preferred
Mechanically inclined; basic understanding of hand and power tool functionality
Ability to operate a forklift
Good communication (oral and written), interpersonal, customer service, and problem solving skills
Well organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced team environment
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
