Job Description / Duties
The Auto & Property Insurance Specialist II is primarily responsible for processing auto insurance policies and a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

This position processes a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.

This position processes basic insurance transaction and auto policies.

Processes personal lines policies and contracts often including items such as residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft, and jewelry under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.

Identifies client needs and provides information on varying insurance packages such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.

Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes Brio Insurance products and services.

Responds to emergencies and assists clients with their claims.

Able to utilize the Insurance portal to endorse and complete a policy

Able to write a new policies with multiple location and boats independently

Write Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance Auto Extension / Got Toys policies

Service a Personal lines book of $550K in premiums (subject to Manager discretion).

Quote a minimum of 40 new home policies a year

Support branch training needs

Support the achievement of department and organizational goals as well as actively participates in regular staff meetings.

Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.





Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Qualifications / Required Skills
Essential Qualifications:

Working towards or holds completed Level 2 Brokers Insurance license

Understands specifics about coverage limitations to: vacant dwellings, seasonal, rentals, Course of Construction and mobile homes etc.

Understands MPI Commercial vehicle coverages

Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy

Ability to work in fast-paced workplace and perform well under pressure

Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions

Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services

Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures

Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry

Proficient computer skills
