Enhance automation systems at the University of Toronto as a Journeyperson Control Technician. Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate advanced control systems on the St. George campus.

Under general supervision, this full-time role requires at least five years of experience in building automation and control systems. Key responsibilities include inspecting and repairing control systems, installing recent instrumentation, and performing preventative maintenance. This position contributes to optimizing environmental controls within academic buildings and laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and troubleshoot control and life/safety systems
• Maintain and calibrate control instrumentation
• Install new BAS equipment on existing systems




• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on controls
• Work with engineers to optimize environmental controls

Requirements:
• Diploma in Instrumentation or Building Environmental Systems
• 5+ years in programming and troubleshooting DDC systems
• Proficient in Siemens, Honeywell, and Johnson Control programming
• Strong English communication skills
• Must join IBEW Local 353 if not a current member
