Become a crucial member of Okanagan College as a Laboratory Technician V. This full time, non-regular position supports chemistry and biology labs, ensuring equipment functionality and safety standards are met.

Under the supervision of the Dean of Arts & Sciences, you'll maintain and operate lab equipment, prepare solutions, and support student labs. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to maintain live organisms while ensuring compliance with biosafety practices. You will also organize and procure supplies needed for various experiments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and clean up labs for student use
• Prepare solutions, media, and cultures as directed
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize lab equipment




• Conduct safety inspections and maintain regulatory compliance
• Manage inventory records of lab supplies and equipment

Requirements:
• Two-year technologist program graduation
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Valid Occupational First Aid – Level 2 certificate
• Class five driver's license required
• Ability to lift lab equipment up to 30 pounds
