Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the TLE Board.
- Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, reports, correspondence, minutes, action items, and follow-up documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of Board decisions, resolutions, directives, and action items.
- Track outstanding matters and ensure follow-up on tasks assigned by the TLE Board.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, information sessions, and other activities as directed by the Board.
- Ensure the Board has timely and accurate information to support informed decision-making.
- Provide regular progress reports to the TLE Board regarding TLE activities, timelines, expenditures, negotiations, land acquisitions, and outstanding issues.
- Identify emerging issues, risks, delays, or opportunities and bring them to the attention of the TLE Board.
- Coordinate the implementation of the First Nation's TLE activities in accordance with the applicable TLE Agreement, legislation, policies,
resolutions, and Board direction.
- Maintain a comprehensive TLE work plan and project schedule.
- Track TLE obligations, milestones, deadlines, approvals, and deliverables.
- Coordinate the collection and organization of information required for TLE activities.
- Work with legal counsel, land consultants, surveyors, appraisers, planners, environmental professionals, and other technical advisors as authorized by the TLE Board.
- Coordinate with federal and provincial government departments and agencies on TLE-related matters.
- Assist with the identification, evaluation, acquisition, transfer, and/or other processes relating to potential TLE lands, as directed by the TLE Board.
- Maintain organized documentation related to land selections, negotiations, purchases, transfers, surveys, environmental assessments, appraisals, and other TLE activities.
