MSCP is seeking an experienced MI Cable Fabrication & Splicing Technician to join our manufacturing team. This is a shop-based manufacturing position focused on Mineral Insulated (MI) cable fabrication, splicing, quality, and developing the capabilities of other team members. Electrician certification is not required.

Responsibilities
Fabricate, splice, terminate, and assemble MI heating cable products

Prepare MI cable, conductors, cold leads, joints, terminations, and associated components

Perform brazing, welding, crimping, sealing, and other specialized fabrication processes

Work with MgO-insulated cable and moisture-sensitive MI components

Read and follow drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures

Perform testing and quality checks on completed assemblies

Troubleshoot fabrication, splice, termination, and quality issues

Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

Train and mentor employees in MI cable fabrication and splicing

Demonstrate proper fabrication techniques and provide hands‑on coaching

Help develop and standardize MI fabrication procedures, work instructions, and best practices

Support competency development and assess employee readiness to perform MI fabrication activities independently

Identify opportunities to improve quality, consistency, throughput, and manufacturing flow

Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing teams

Promote safe work practices and high standards of workmanship throughout the shop

Qualifications
Strong hands‑on MI experience in an MI cable fabrication environment

Strong brazing and precision fabrication skills





Working in a certified manufacturing environment

Experience with MI terminations, cold leads, joints, and splice assemblies

Strong troubleshooting and quality‑control capabilities

Ability to read drawings and manufacturing specifications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment

Manufacturing position that does not require previous electrical experience
